It's Release Day!

It's release day and not a moment too soon. If you haven't seen the cards and crafts by The Cat Pack using our NEW release, you are in for a treat. If you have, you should take another look! Just click the links on the left of this blog for The Cat Pack and these links for our VERY Special Swanky Stampers, Kelli, Joyce, Chris, and Debbie!

But, FIRST, I'm kicking off the Release Day Blog Hop.

Not only is it Release Day, but, it's TCP Tuesday. And, the challenge this month is to create a card that will go in a Long, Tall Envelope.

We hardly ever create cards in this size, so why not challenge yourself? I used the "One Cupcake" stamp set for the main image and the "Sassy Birthday" stamp set for the sentiment. I put all the images on the "Framed Up" CutUps and used the "Bitty Banners" to hang down. And those cloud shapes? Those are from the Toppers CutUps!

I'm so excited about this release, and I know you will be too, especially when you've seen what Wendy has stamped up.

Here are the Deets.

  1. The First Tuesday of the Month I will post a challenge on this blog. That's right! Here!
The challenge will also be posted on our Splitcoaststampers forum  and on our Facebook page
  2. If you want to play along you just upload your design right here on this page using the InLinkz button. (The challenge button will be posted on the right hand column of this blog so you don't have to search around) If you want to display your pretties on Splitcoaststampers using keyword TCPTUESAug13
  3. The Challenge will be a month-long challenge and you can play as many times as you like during that month.
  4. Cards and projects must have at least one Cat's Pajamas Stamp or CutUps die in the project.
  5. On the First Monday of the Month a winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and crowned Swanky Stamper.
  6. The Swanky Stamper will not only be acknowledged as the Swankiest Stamper for that month, but will also receive some of the stamps from our next release and get to play along with us at our Pajamas Party and Blog Hop. Lickable

I don't think that there is a person born who doesn't like ice cream. I was luck enough to live by an ice cream parlor that specialized in making off the wall ice cream. Have you ever tried Tomato or Vegetable ice cream? I never wanted to squander my hard-earned allowance on either, especially when there was Strawberry Cheesecake and Bubblegum ice cream to be had.

"Lickable" is a simply sweet clear stamp set that I know you won't be able to resist "Lickable" is part of our August Release. And it's available on August 27 along with the other stamps and CutUps dies we've been Sneaky Peeking this week.

Now on to the cards.

Nancy Thomas has a wonderful color sense that is pretty evident in this card. She cuts the "Chevron" CutUps out of white and layers it over pretty ice cream colors. I love those wee dots of color sprinkled about. They really scream "Ice Cream"

Chris Veneruso, creates this yummy card and uses the Heart Border, Buttons, and Toppers CutUps, as wonderful embellishments

Kelli Hull creates a bold card using "Lickable" and color blocking. "Bitty Banners" has the perfect sweet spot for the Nightie alphabet.

Under The Stars

This summer I discovered camping. Well, rediscovered, actually. I was a Girl Scout for a number of years, and our troop would go on yearly camping trips. I remember setting up tents and cooking over campfires. Roasting marshmallows for S'Mores over the campfire. And yes, the burnt ones were the best. When it was time to go to sleep, we sat in our tents and told ghost stories and talked about boys, and school, and things you talk about when you are young.

"Under The Stars" celebrates that time when we were young. And, now, when we are not so much. "Under The Stars" is part of our August Release. And it's available on August 27 along with the other stamps and CutUps dies we've been Sneaky Peeking this week.

Now on to the cards.

Leigh O'Brien is back with this awesome scrappy card. She stamps the image on kraft paper and colors for a terrific, rustic look. The Chevron die gives peeks of the pretty paper behind.

Nancy Thomas stamps up a wonderfully, happy card. She uses the "Framed Up" CutUps for the oval and the panel the penguins are stamped on. It's the perfect pairing.

Noelle McAdams "color blocks" this card with patterned paper and our Cloud Border CutUps to separate the blocks. The clouds are a wonderful place to stamp the sentiments, don't you think?

At Your Service

I don't know about you, but I love sets that are versatile. I love being able to take one set and create several different looks. So, when I designed "At Your Service", I had versatility in mind. "At Your Service" has 12 separate stamps that you can mix and match.

Featuring a sweet, tray carrying bear, you can use this stamp set for birthday, just for you and get well cards.  "At Your Service" is part of our August Release. And it's available on August 27 along with the other stamps and CutUps dies we've been Sneaky Peeking this week.

Now on to the cards.

Nancy Thomas uses"At Your Service" with "Framed Up" to create this terrific get well card for all ages. This set is one you will reach for again and again. It's a fun set to color. You can do as little or as much. It's really up to you

Wendy McGaffey uses "At Your Service" with our Luggage Tag, Window and Flower Buttons CutUps. The bear is so cute, just dropping in with a bowl of soup to wish you well.

Here is a super sweet card by Chris Veneruso. The doilies and her paper choices give a wonderful homey touch.

Fly High

Growing up, it seemed like everything was about space. We watched the space walk in our classrooms and "Lost in Space" and "Star Trek" on TV. Space even affected what we ate. Remember, Tang?

Now, we celebrate space with our Long-Eared Bunny in an out of this world stamp set, "Fly High" and  "Fly High" is part of our August Release available on August 27.

Now on to the cards.

Wendy McGaffey creates this awesome card using the stamp set and the "Bitty Banners" CutUps. I love that the card is like a porthole that we are looking out of.

This card by Chris Veneruso has me flying high. Can you see the "Chevron" CutUps behind? Brilliant!

Leigh O'Brien uses the "Bitty Banners" to adorn her card. And the ticket shape she stamped the sentiment on is from "Framed Up". Just so cute!

For more looks at this awesome set click on over to Noelle, Susan, and Joyce and Debbie.

Sneaky Peek #3
One Cupcake

It may come as no surprise to you that I love cupcakes! When I was a girl, my school would have cupcake sales and you could buy cupcakes for 25 cents each. We would delight in how pretty they were. Pink with sprinkles, chocolate swirls with jimmies.  Of course, the real treat was biting into a freshly baked cupcake. And, because our mothers made them, we knew they were made with love.

Our Long-Eared Bunny also loves cupcakes. And, because you stamp him up, any card you make with him is stamped with love. "One Cupcake" is part of our August Release available on August 27.

Now on to the cards.

Swanky Stamper, Kelli Hull creates this lovely flip it card. Simple, and elegant!

Here's the inside.

Lori Tecler shows off her coloring on this yummy card. It's the perfect image to color or paper piece.

And, Chris Veneruso pulls it all together in this card. LOVE the plaid bunny. Who says that bunnies have to be solid? NOBODY!

Sneaky Peek #2

Sneaky Peek #2
Sassy Birthday

Those of you who know Susan Liles will not be surprised when I tell you that she once asked me for a Sassy Sentiment set. Susan is one sassy gal. So inspired by her, I decided that sassiness is where it's at, and what better time to be sassy? On a birthday, of course.

So "Sassy Birthday" was born! And, I couldn't stop there. I had to design a CutUps Die to go with. Like all our stamps and dies, you don't have to buy both to make either work, it's just like having frosting on the cake, as it were. "Sassy Birthday" is part of our August Release available on August 27. The "Sassy Birthday" Clearly Swanky Set, has some pretty sassy sayings and pretty graphics to go with. And, it's the perfect set to do a little chalkboard technique.

Now on to the cards and you'll see what I mean.

Check out this card by Wendy McGaffey! She uses "Sassy Birthday" with "Framed Up" and an old favorite "3 x 3 Stars" It's the perfect "man" card or one for an officemate.

This card by Kimberly Gajewski uses the same set and dies and the "Bitty Banners" CutUps. And, the bit of pink adds just the right girly touch. Stunning.

Chris Veneruso uses "Sassy Birthday" and the "Framed Up" CutUps for a classic but fun look. What I love about this set is that there is NO coloring. Or, you can use the sentiments with other stamps. I think this set will become a classic.

For more looks at this sassy set click on over to Noelle's, and Nancy's blogs. I know you will be happy you did.

Sneaky Peek Day #1

Sneaky Peek #1
Bring On The Cake

It's the VER-R-RY first day of Sneaky Peek Week, and boy am I excited!

Today, we are kicking off the week with the Long Eared Bunny and he is celebrating! AND, he has the cake to prove it. Never let it be said that the Long Eared Bunny will pass up a piece of cake, and judging from the cake behind him, there is a lot of celebrating to be had.

"Bring on the Cake" is part of our August Release available on August 27. The "Bring on the Cake" Clearly Swanky Set, features this yummy stamp sans candles (candles are separate stamps) but 3 sweet sentiments, too!

Now on to the cards.

Swanky Stamper, Chris Veneruso, designed this pretty, pretty card, using "Bring on the Cake". She paired it with a NEW CutUps, (also available on Aug. 27) "Chevron". Love her delicious coloring!

August's Swanky Stamper, Joyce Casaldi's happy card is just perfect for celebrating! She mixes "Bring on the Cake", the "Chevron" CutUps, AND another CutUps from the NEW release, "Framed Up". "Framed Up"is actually 3 separate dies that you can snap apart and use separately or together. Image the possibilities?

And last, but certainly not least, Wendy McGaffey reminds us that it's TUESDAY! TCP Tuesday! This fun card celebrates the challenge for this month, which is to design a Long, Tall card for a Long, Tall envie. (Have you played?) Wendy, stamped the image on the biggest die from the "Framed Up" set, and used our third NEW CutUps in this release, "Bitty Banners." It's so cute I can't stand it.

For more looks at this scrumptious set click on over to Noelle's, Julie's, Lori's, Susan's, Kelli's, Nancy's, and Debbie's blogs. They are the frosting on the cake.

Up for a Challenge?

It's Tuesday! Which mean that it's TCP Tuesday! That means it's time for The Cat Pack to strut their stuff in this month's challenge

This challenge celebrates that under-used envelope, the long, tall one. The legal sized one. The Number Nine.

The challenge is to create a card that fits in the Long, Tall, Envelope.

Lori Tecler flys me to the moon, by taking her card and turning it sideways. That blingy swirl behind the Bunny in a rocket ship is the perfect addition. And, that dembossed moon is just brilliant.

Nancy Thomas creates a fresh, crisp Holiday card making an Winter white Gingerbread man using our Man CutUps and embossed paper.

Wendy McGaffey has the penguin soaring in the clouds. Her bright and happy colors are the perfect pick me up.

Kimberly Gajewski sits the bunny down on a pretty panel that pairs the Apron Border with the Heart Swirl

And Susan Liles creates this pretty Birthday card making a tag and using the Wish stamp set
