Just one last chance

Hi ALL! It's the very last Tuesday of the Month and therefore, my very last bit of nudging to get you to play along with our challenge.

This month, it's a Floral challenge. We love flowers and Spring is almost here. We generally use flowers to embellish our projects, but this challenge is all about making the flower the STAR of the project. I want you to make the flower the center of attention. The focal point.

I am in serious love with this pretty card of Kimberly Gajewski using the sentiment from the Bloom Set and the Flower Button and Queen of Hearts CutUps. I love her button detail!

How about this pretty by Julie Masse! SWEET! She used so many stamps in such great ways. You really need to go to her blog and see what she did.

The Cat Pack has given lots of great ideas that have inspired me.

So here is my card using our Lacy Floral Doily, Eggs in a Basket, Heart Swirl and Toppers CutUps. And I just stamped a sweet saying from our Simply Said stamp set. I think it's really sweet!

Just two Tuesdays left

It's Tuesday! And there are only two Tuesdays, counting this one, before the next TCP Tuesday begins. Time sure does fly.

This month's challenge is to use flowers as the focal point of your card or project. A very good friend of mine, once asked "Why Flowers all the time". She was under the impression that flowers were used too often in card making.

And, I suppose the answer to her question is "Why not?" Flowers are so happy. They are nature's balloons. I was in Boston this weekend and there was such a sadness in the air. But, also, there was hope. So, it didn't surprise me to see tulips and daffodils and hyacinth blooming and peeking out from their own little spot in the ground.

This weekend, I was blessed to see two of The Cat Pack, Julie Masse and Kimberly Gajewski. I loved meeting up with them and spending time with them. So, Kimberly's card using the Sunflower Rosette and our new Words of Love set is just perfect. And, how I feel about both of them.

I dearly love this card by Nancy Thomas. She uses the sentiment from the Bloom set, the Heart Swirl and flowers from the Flower Button CutUps and Pinwheel. Such an elegant card.

I'm in love with this card by Lori Tecler. It's so bright and happy and she uses the Flower Button CutUps, the Toppers CutUps, AND the Grass CutUps to make this great scene. Check out her blog for more detail. Definitely worth a second, third, or fourth look.

Are you inspired? I know I am. Pull out your TCP stamps and dies and PLAY!

Question of the Week

What is the last thing you stamped?

Sometimes, we don't have the time to stamp. But, that doesn't mean that you don't have ideas. Ideas upon ideas. All worked out in your head. So, when you have the chance to stamp, it's easy. Other times it just has to work itself out.

But, whatever the outcome, it's fun, right. That's why we stamp.

Here is the last thing that I stamped. It had been in my head forever, and when I stamped it out, it came out in a rush. I love when things happen like that.

Using the chalkboard technique, mixed with the Subway Art look. I used our newest Words of Love set, our Heart Trio CutUps and the banner is from the Gimme Some Sugar set.

What is the last thing that you stamped?

It's that time

It's Tuesday! And, the Cat Pack is stamping up some flowery goodness!
This month's challenge is to use FLOWERS as your main focal point in your card or projects.
Pretty easy, right? Let's see what the Cat Pack has to show you for inspiration.

Noelle pulls out the Gimme Some Sugar set and uses the lolly holder and turns the lollies into flowers. Voila! Instant vase. And the stand is now a flower stand. Brilliant.

Susan pulls out the Show Me The Magic set and our Sunflower Rosette die and mixes it up with our Flower Button die.

Lori goes truly elegant with this pretty card. She uses the Pom Pom Flower CutUps and the Words of Love Stamp set, as well as our Toppers CutUps.

And this pretty card of Wendy's. So bright and cheery and ready for Spring.

These cards have really inspired me. I just might stamp something up. I think you should join me!

TCP Tuesday update!

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for me to give you more inspiration to play along with us, on our TCP Tuesday Challenge. This month, we are challenging you to get "Flowertastic!"

This month it's all about flowers. If April Showers bring May Flowers, after the storm we had in my neck of the woods, May should be, indeed, flowerful. But, impatient gal, that I am, I want to see those flowers, NOW. So, your challenge, if you decide to accept it, is to use flowers  as the main focal point of your card.

Last week, I showed you how to use the Lacy Floral Doily Die paired it with our Window CutUps, used the Petal Roller to make a fast flowerbox card.

This week, I'm using our Flower Button CutUps and our Simply Said Stamp Set to make this card. And, because our Flower Button CutUps cuts multiple flowers in one pass, this card was just as easy. I used the Petal Roller to sculpt each petal to give more of a dimensional look. And, the Doily from last week's card using the Lacy Floral Doily Die.

Take a gander at Nancy Thomas' sweet card. She used several of our CutUps, but the star of the show are those flowers from the Pinwheel CutUps. Notice that pretty vine entwined with the flowers? That's the Heart Swirl! So CLEVER!

How about this pretty and feminine card by Noelle McAdams? She stamped out the bunny and sentiment from our Bloom set and used the Lacy Floral Doily CutUps and the Sunflower Rosette as her embellishment.

And, last but not least, Wendy McGaffey's elegant floral card is just pretty in purple using our Words of Love set, and Flower Button CutUps. And that background? It's our Heart and Lock Background

All of these cards are AMAZING! And, if you hop on over to their blogs, you'll see what I mean.

Now, break out your Cat's Pajamas Stamps and CutUps and play along.

 Here are the Deets.
  1. The First Tuesday of the Month I will post a challenge on this blog. That's right! Here!

April TCP Tuesday

It's the first Tuesday of the Month and that means it's time for another TCP Tuesday Challenge. Are you ready for another challenge? Last month's challenge was a doozie! So, this month, I thought I'd make it easier on you.

In the words of the oh-so talented Susan Liles, it's time to get "Flowertastic!"

That's right! This month it's all about flowers. They say that April Showers bring May Flowers, but, I want to see those flowers, NOW. So, your challenge, if you decide to accept it, is to use flowers. And, not just as an embellishment, but as the main focal point of your card.

I just love flower sculpting so much that I created a Lacy Floral Doily Die to make it easier. I paired it with our Window CutUps, used the Petal Roller and Voila! Instant pretty. Well, almost.

Here's how I did it. You be the judge.

And, speaking of the oh-so talented, Susan Liles, check out this lovely card using our Flower Button CutUpsLacy Floral Doily Die and our brand new stamp set, Words of Love. Just a perfect set for this anniversary card.

It's so beautiful you really must go to her blog and see the close ups of this lovely.

And while you are at it, break out your Cat's Pajamas Stamps and play along.

April Swanky Stamper!

The TCP Tuesday Challenge for March was a color challenge. It was basically a Neutrals Challenge. To use White, &/or Cream &/or Craft &/or Black and one color. One patterned paper and 2 layers.  This card really embraced the spirit of the challenge, as well as the letter. It has almost a steampunk look, and the bear looks almost surreal with his patterned paper balloons. LOVE IT!

Stampers put on their thinking caps and came up with some pretty spectacular cards.

Kelli Jo Hull created this wonderfully masculine card using The Mustache Set and our Mustache CutUps and added texture to the mustache. I love the irregular pattern! It really says "hair"! I just keep looking at this card and smiling.

Debbie, aka Indy created this card using Take Off and I love the bold colors! She use only one patterned paper, but it really packs a punch. And the Cherry Divine Twine is a perfect addition.

Cyndi Bundy creates this bright and happy card! I'm loving the play on polka dots. And the way she colored up the bunny from the Wish set.

It was a tough challenge but I'm glad to see the results. Stampers, pat yourself on the back! Well done.

Tomorrow, is another TCP Tuesday Challenge. And, I think you'll like it. Check back tomorrow!
