TCP Tuesday 212 and the Weekly Winner

Yesterday, was my birthday and though generally, I like birthdays, I was not so happy this time, when this one rolled around. Yes, it was a big one. Thank you very much. No matter how much you don't want something to happen, there is just no stopping the inevitable.

So, I've been taking a little time for myself, doing a little woolgathering, if you will. So I apologize for the lateness of my posts. I've just been moving a little slower these days. Must be my advanced age.

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge is one of my favorites, the Technique Challenge. Julie is our Hostess with the Mostess and the technique is Paper Pleating!

You may remember, our very own Amy Rohl, did a paper pleating tutorial on Splitcoaststampers a while back, and Julie wants you to visit this popular technique and create something.

So check out Julie's fabulous card. But, be ready to laugh! It's a funny one

And Jen's, bright and cheery card. Her cards are always so amazing!

Or Jenny's happy and fun card. So packed full of techniques, I could spend the whole day just trying to recreate one of them.

And Nancy's card just makes my heart soar with her fabulous paper piecing and paper selection.

Lori's sweet card, shows off yet another way to use this versatile technique. I hope you'll try paper pleating and add it to the inlinkz button at the bottom of this post. It's a great way to get texture and an embellishment for your card that folds flat and is inexpensive.

TCP Tuesday 211 And the Weekly Winner

This week's TCP Tuesday Challenge is our Inspiration Challenge and Jen del Muro is our Hostess with the Mostess!

It's Spring outside, and everything is green and growing. Everything feels so crisp and new. And that is what this sketch is all about. But, the Inspiration is just a jumping off point. Take what you wish from the collage and run with it.

Jen is inspired by the colors and shapes in the Inspiration collage and creates a wonderful treat box. I can just image this as a favor in a Summer wedding or bridal shower.

Amy uses our new Window CutUps and creates this wonderful scrappy card. I am just in love with it.

Or how about Julie's fresh and clean card? I always want to make dozens of cards based on Julie's designs!

And Nancy's card is just a wonderful way to welcome in Spring!

TCP Tuesday 210 and the Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday, and Amy Sheffer is our Hostess with the Mostess for this week's Sketch Challenge.

And this week, she is taking over from Leigh O'Brien, who is taking a wee break from stamping. Leigh left us with this fabu sketch and it's a really great one. You can use it as is, or on it's side. Or flipped around.

After you see Amy's fab card using this sketch, head on over to Nancy's blog. Her take on this sketch is really great! So fun and happy!

Check out the Cat Pack's blog's on the left and see when they've posted their take on this challenge. I've seen what they've come up with, and it's pretty spectacular.

TCP Tuesday 209 and the Weekly Winner

Sorry for the delay in getting this post up. This past weekend I was teaching at The Cat's Meow Annual Stamp Escape! What a wonderful setting, full of wonderful people and a weekend packed with stamping and ATC trading! Lots of old friends, and new friends met and made. I even got to see one of my very favorite teachers, Sherie Cooley. Sherie is the teacher that I always wanted to be. Organized, creative, lots of energy and oodles of talent. And she was taking my class. No pressure, really.

The event took place in beautiful Yosemite, which is 3000 ft above sea level. So needless to say, I'm still moving a little slow.

So on with TCP Tuesday/Wednesday and it's a Stamp/CutUps Challenge!

Susan is the Hostess with the Mostess this day. And here is her challenge.

Now it's MMMMAY, our Challenge for this week is being brought to you today by the letter M!!!!!!!!
Use any stamp(s) from The Cat's Pajamas that starts with the letter M. This doesn't necessarily mean the SET starts with the letter M, but any STAMP starting with the letter M or a stamp containing something starting with the letter M

We are also sponsored by the
PENNANT CutUps Die
so please include it on your card or project along with your stamp for this challenge.

Got your thinking caps on?? Now stamp and upload your fabulous creation using the InLinkz button below.

TCP Tuesday 208 and the Weekly Winner

Today is TCP Tuesday/Wednesday and it's a Color Challenge. Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but blogger was not cooperating.

Lori is the Hostess with the Mostess this day. And she wants you to use Red, Lime Green and Gold.

Hmm, makes me think a little about Cinco de Mayo. And I'm not the only one. You mustache on over and take a look at Julie's card.

Then check back during the week to see what other creations our designers have come up with using this wonderful color combo.
