TCP Tuesday 174

I'm loving TCP Tuesday Hostess with the Mostess, Susan's stamp challenge.

If you missed yesterday's post, the challenge is to "Wing it", as it were. To use any Cat's Pajamas Stamp that has a wing in it.

And Cat Packer, Julie, has taken the challenge. Check out her wonderfully colorful card featuring those rascally penguins. And she gives a whole new look to the Birch paperthin wood.

And Leigh creates a simply stunning card using felt. Just look at what she uses as the eggs in her nest. I'm sure you'll agree that her card is too "tweet"

Now what are you waiting for?

TCP Tuesday 174 & the Weekly Winner

And Susan is asking you to wing it. That's right, I said it "Wing it". Do I have you scratching your head, yet? Susan is asking you to use any of The Cat's Pajamas stamps with wings. That means that you can use any stamp with a bird or plane or any stamp with wings. And I know there are quite a few, having drawn a good many wings in my lifetime her at The Cat's Pajamas.

But, don't take my word for it.

Fly on over to Amy and check out her pretty, pretty card. I love how she placed the sentiment and ribbon in the nest.

Lori adds a bit of sparkley goodness with her wonderful card.

Check out Susan's card. A beauty, no? See the wings? And she even last week's TCP Tuesday Color Challenge as her color combo.

And speaking of last week. Want to see more of last week's TCP Tuesday Challenge? Look at this SWEET card by Leigh! Bunnies don't have to be just white and brown.

Then Amy casts a spell on me with her witchy card.

Jackie captures my heart with her beary beautiful card.

And Jen makes my heart flutter. Her card is pretty and her color use? You never would have thought she didn't like cornflower blue.

Then take a ride on over to Julie's place. I love that she made a tag on her card. And her embellies? To die for.

Lori works her CAS magic, again, and blows in with this cutie of a card.

Play along with us this TCP Tuesday! You could win 10 smackaroos in Cat's Cash and be eligible to win some of our new release stamps and dies. You just have to play along.

Wrap up

So now on to the wrap up!

Did you get the chance to play in last week's challenge. Jen proved the Inspiration Collage. She wanted you to get into the Christmas Spirit. Did you? Our design team was feeling a little jolly.

Jenny pulled out all the stops with her "kitchsy" Christmas card. I love all the big chunky glitter.

Lori warms me up with her lovely paper pieced card.

Julie mixes this challenge with a past Inspiration Challenge and it works! Is there anything that she can't do? Goodness, I love her herringbone nest.

And Amy kicks some grass with her lovely card. I love her subtle use of textures and patterns.

There is still time for you to play. Just upload your card to the guestbook in last week's post.

I've been a little MIA over the last couple of weeks. Many of you know that we had a family emergency that has kept me focused on my family. When I created The Cat's Pajamas, it was because I wanted to spend more time with my family. My parents were getting older, and my niece and nephew were pre-teens and I felt that having my own online company would allow me the flexibility of doing that. And this past month really proved that. And I thank you for all your patience.

Many of you know that Anthony had a heart "event" early last year, caused by a blockage in one of the arteries going to his heart. Thankfully, luckily, he called an ambulance and he was quickly in a surgery that saved his life.

Unfortunately, my ex-brother-in-law was not so lucky. He was healthy, active and enjoying life, planning for the future. His passing, so suddenly, has left us all in shock. He was only 55. We'll miss his easy going nature, and his ability to enjoy life.

TCP Tuesday 171 & the Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Jen is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's TCP Tuesday Inspiration Challenge.

And it's a crazy challenge. Christmas, in August. I know, for a fact, that it's been sweltering in Texas, where Jen is, so maybe thinking about Christmas right now, is her way of wishful thinking. ;)

So here is Jen's Inspiration Collage, and away we go. First, to Jen, of course. She uses a stamp from last year's collection, Your Gift. I really think that her use of cork for her stars was inspired. They remind me of Christmas Cookies.

Then take a peek at Leigh's card. I love that she used a non-traditional background and filled up her Christmas tree with buttons It's a great way to use up your stash.

Last week's challenge was a brilliant sketch by Leigh and we had so many people playing along. Did you see Julie's take on it? She uses such happy and bright colors. Even thought you aren't eligible to win the weekly prize, there is still time to to enter and be eligible for the Swanky Stamper. And the prize is even bigger. Stamps and dies from our next release and the chance to hop along with The Cat Pack.

Don't you want to play along with us this TCP Tuesday? You could win 10 smackaroos in Cat's Cash and be eligible to win some of our new release stamps and dies. You just have to play along.

TCP Tuesday 170 & the Weekly Winner

It's TCP Tuesday and Leigh is the Hostess with the Mostess for this week's TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge.

And what a sketch it is. It has a little bit of sumpin' sumpin' for everyone. A little embellie, as little diecut, a little border, a little place for patterned paper.

Leigh's kickin' it with her awesome card.
And so is Jen. She's using ribbon where that scalloped border is. Pretty fancy.
And, oh my word, check out Lori's card. It could have worked for last week's transportation challenge, too!

And speaking of last week's challenge, did you see Amy's take on it? She mixes a little old with new and comes up with fabulous.

Don't you want to play along with us this TCP Tuesday? You could win 10 smackaroos in Cat's Cash and be eligible to win some of our new release stamps and dies. You just have to play along.

Swanky Stamper of the Month

Nancy Thomas — Swanky Stamper for August

It's been a foggy month here in San Francisco, so when I saw this card by Nancy Thomas, I just perked up. Its bright and cheery colors, along with the patterns and textures and unusual layout is just terrific. Love Nancy's coloring and stitching, too.

There were so many terrific cards, this month that I have to show you a couple that caught my eye this month.

This card by Julee Tilman, uses the same stamp set that Nancy uses, Away We Go, but has a whole different look and feel to it. Julee gives a shabby chic look to her card that I think is absolutely fab.

Here is another one by Nancy Thomas that I adore. I love the mix of DP and her use of embellishments. There is a lot going on in this card, but it doesn't feel forced or busy.

Last month's Swanky Stamper, Maggie Haas created this terrific little number using Kick Some Grass and several of our CutUps. There is such a feeling of whimsy that the stitching and patterns that is just so wonderful.

Nancy Thomas, wins some of our stamps and dies from our next release, just for playing. You could win, too! Tomorrow, I'll be posting a brand new challenge! You can only win if you play.
